Beach Cleanup Day at St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

Join us on Saturday, September 28th, to celebrate National Public Lands Day with a beach and bay cleanup! Free Park entry for participants. Help pick up trash and small debris over a two mile section of Gulf Beach; kayakers are also encouraged to join in to collect trash along Bay Beach. Bring water, sunscreen, hat, and gloves.

Meet Your State Delegation Today 09/23/19

Friends and Neighbors,

On Monday, 9/23 at 4 in The BOCC meeting room, you have the opportunity to meet with our State Delegation.  Senator Bill Montford and Representative Jason Shoaf want to meet you and hear your concerns, problems and issues that they might have the opportunity to address during the upcoming session.  Beach Restoration, Hurricane Michael Recovery, Affordable Housing, Lingering Insurance Issues, PSJ Port, Debris cleanup, or whatever else might be of concern that they might be able to help with from the State level is open for discussion.  Please take time Monday afternoon to come out and meet these two strong supporters of Gulf County Citizens personally.

The Dredge is Staging

The dredge is staging.  Look for sand next week!!  Only taken 6 years to get here.  Thanks to everyone who has put in hard work to make it happen.  Now pursuing the offshore barrier reefs to slow down the erosion in the future.  More updates to come.

PORT THEATRE NEEDS HELP!

We are attending the Historical Resources Special Category Grant Application review on 9/26/19 at 9 am EST. We need our community to show up and support our efforts!! This is the fourth time we have applied for this grant! This community needs the Theatre … WE NEED YOU TO SHOW UP AND LET THE REVIEW BOARD KNOW IT!!! The review is at the R.A Gray Building Auditorium, 500 South Bronough St., Tallahassee 32399. Our review is the fifth one so you will not be there long.
